This one was purchased new from Volkswagen importer Snuffy Smith Motor Co. of Dallas, Texas on June 22, 1959 by its original owner, Mr Dale Washington & was used since new as a work van for his home improvement business for it's first 12 years before being parked for nearly five decades. Highway geared 4-speed manual transmission was refreashed also with 5k with new clutch kit and parts. Interior has been refreshed. Very rare 12V ambulance fans. Original bill of sale from 1959. Copies of previous registrations Odometer reads 48,712 kilometers = 30267 miles are miles are documneted as actual on title. Original engine and transmission included in sale. It has dual 40mm Kadron carburetors Optima battery. Vintage speed exhaust. Magnaspark distributor with electronic ignition. Window seals replaced. Brakes and suspension have been overhauled.
